OSKALOOSA, Iowa - The Pioneers stayed with the #5 Statesmen in the first half, but William Penn pulled away in the second half in an 89-75 victory over MNU in the Heart Tournament semifinals on Saturday. Trey Brown was on fire in the 1st half, hitting 5 threes in a row en route to 17 points in the period, and the Pioneers trailed by just 1 point at the break. Still trailing by 1 after 5 minutes of play in the 2nd half, MNU couldn't fight off Penn's big run. The Statesmen went on a 21-7 burst over 6 minutes to take a big lead, and the Pioneers couldn't recover.
