Pioneers Handle Benedictine

OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers squeaked out a win against Benedictine on Wednesday on Senior Night. This game was a fast-paced high scoring battle from the beginning. MNU jumped out to a 28-15 lead a little over 14 minutes in, but Benedictine cut the lead down a little, ending the first half down by 9. MNU started the second half strong leading Benedictine 61-41 with 12:16 left, but the Ravens picked up the pace from there. Benedictine cut the once 20 point lead down to 7 points with 6:16 left. Benedictine tried to make a comeback cutting the Pioneer lead to 2 with under a minute left, but Anthony Brown hit 1 free throw and Benedictine missed a couple three pointers to give MNU the win.

Anthony Brown made 2 free throws with 30 seconds left to give MNU a 77-73 lead.

Individual Leaders
Senior Dante Scroggins led MNU with 21 points. Anthony Brown had 15 points and 9 rebounds. Dakota Quinn had 15 points and 7 rebounds. And Trey Brown had 8 points and 8 assists.
