MARSHALL, Mo. - MNU lost in overtime to Missouri Valley on Wednesday. MNU led 23-17 less then 9 minutes into the game, but Missouri Valley stuck around ending the first half leading by 1. The second half was a back and forth battle between the Pioneers and the Vikings with the lead changing many times. The Viking led by 2 with 43 seconds left, but
Patrick Cairns hit a layup to tie the game up and send it to overtime. The overtime period was also back and forth until the end. Missouri Valley hit some free throws to give themselves the lead with less than a minute left and won this game 98-93.

With the score tied in the final minutes of overtime, Valley's 3-0 run gave them the lead for good.
