MARSHALL, Mo. - MNU won a close one against Missouri Valley on Wednesday. The Pioneers led the Vikings 14-9 at the end of the first quarter, but Valley fought back to cut the MNU lead to 1 at the end of the first half. The Vikings went on a run in the third quarter, leading MNU 49-43 with a little under 3 minutes left in the third. The Pioneers did not give up, taking control of the 4th quarter.
Whitney Clampitt hit a 3-pointer to give MNU a 3-point lead with 3:05 left in the game, and the Pioneers never looked back, beating Missouri Valley 76-67.
