OLATHE, Kan. - MNU defeated #17 Central Methodist 61-55 on Saturday, the 2nd top-25 victory this week after beating #13 Clarke on Wednesday. After a defensive battle led to an 11-11 tie after 1 quarter, MNU opened up a 6-point lead with 5 minutes left in the 2nd. But CMU closed the half on a 17-5 run, and scored the first 5 points of the 3rd quarter to take an 11-point lead. After a timeout, MNU dominated the rest of the quarter, outscoring the Eagles 24-7 to take a 6-point lead into the 4th. Points were hard to come by in the 4th, and the Pioneers hung on to win by 6.

Individual Leaders
Mackenzie Loe shot 8-13 for 16 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 blocks, and 5 steals. Jordynn Gonzalez, Makayla Gooch, and Lydie Ostenson recorded 11 points apiece. And TrEl'Shawn Smith had 6 rebounds and 6 assists in 20 minutes off the bench.
