OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers struggled to score in the season finale, a 24-3 loss to Baker on Saturday. The game was scoreless until late in the 2nd quarter, when Baker went 65 yards in 10 plays for a touchdown. The Wildcats managed a field goal after a turnover to take a 10-0 lead in the 3rd quarter. Pablo Pereira's field goal early in the 4th closed the gap, but Baker scored touchdowns on their next 2 drives to pull away.

"Our guys competed tough against a good Baker team," said head coach Paul Hansen. "I'm proud of how hard our guys worked this year. In a year of Covid, we were scheduled to play 9 games and we were fortunate to play 8. Thank you to the players, coaches, and administration for making this happen."

Turning Point
A Pioneer turnover in the red zone kept MNU off the scoreboard in the 3rd quarter.

Individual Leaders
Kobe Hardin had 8 catches for 127 yards. Pablo Pereira recorded a field goal. Tanner Sample recorded 9 tackles. And Jackson Berck forced a fumble.
