Pioneers Fall Late in Iowa

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Pioneers lost a tough competitive game 61-58 at Clarke on Saturday. MNU got off to a good start and led 18-10, but Clarke used a 10-0 run to change momentum. The Pride led by 9 early in the 3rd, but back-to-back threes by Whitney Clampitt and a bucket from Taylor Nichols got the Pioneers back in the game. The game remained tight in the 4th quarter, and MNU led 56-52 with 4 minutes to play. But the Pioneers couldn't manage to score a point in the final 3 minutes, and Clarke made just enough free throws to hold them off.
