OLATHE, Kan. - MNU dominated possession and the scoreboard in a 4-0 shutout over Park on Wednesday.
Lauren North got the scoring started in the 28th minute when she knocked home a corner kick from
Maria Garcia. The score was 1-0 at halftime but the Pioneers poured it on in the second half.
Maria Garcia got loose for a goal in the 63rd minute,
Itziar Rodriguez collected her own rebound and scored in the 71st minute, and
Brylee Johnson scored on a free kick from 25 yards for a 4-0 lead in the 8th minute.
"It was our second home match of the year and overall extremely proud of our team," said Coach McClanahan. "It was a team effort and we showed that we are a deep team and were able to have great performances from people coming off the bench. We had 4 different goal scorers and earned a clean sheet. We're excited to continually take one step at a time to try to be the best we can be. We look forward a great test on Saturday on the road at Kansas Wesleyan."
