MARSHALL, Mo. - MNU swept Missouri Valley on the road on Saturday. The scores were 25-14, 25-18, and 25-16.
"We are happy with our performance!" said Coach Karagyaurov. "It was warm in the gym with tons of fans going which is always an adjustment in our serve and pass game. But the girls are finding new levels of focus with distractions like those. We've been working with our setters on their distribution all week long and that showed today. I'm proud of them! Rachel Dossett continues to be a big defensive presence and that was no different today with 3 solo blocks and 2 assist blocks. She ranks in the top 25 of both total blocks and blocks per game nationally.
Jacqueline Calvert is already ranked 3rd nationally in hitting percentage with a 0.390 so far this season; and she hit a 0.462 today.
Jennifer Roth added 8 more kills to her season total which puts her at 158 for the season which is the most she's ever had in a season and to do it in just 65 sets is so great for her. I could keep going with shout outs but ultimately I'm just so grateful for this group of young women and their continued dedication to this program."
