Pioneers Beat Culver in Final Seconds

OLATHE, Kan. - Hiago Gaspar collected a long punt in the final minute and poked it past the keeper to give MNU a 3-2 victory over Culver-Stockton on Saturday. The result moves MNU's all-time record vs. Culver to 17-0-1. The Wildcats scored in the 15th minute and carried the 1-0 lead into halftime. MNU got on the board in the 63rd minute when Butoyi Issa collected a rebound and knocked it in for the tie.
MNU took the lead when an Issa cross found Jacob Bussmann's foot for a goal, but Culver tied it in the 80th minute and the game appeared headed for overtime. In the final minute, MNU keeper Juan Manuel Arias launched a punt all the way to the attacking third and Hiago Gaspar worked around the defender to put home the game-winner for the Pioneers.
