OLATHE, Kan. - MNU dominated Peru State in a 22-7 victory on Saturday. After the teams traded punts for the first 3 drives, a weather delay with driving rain and lightning lasted about an hour. Peru got on the board with an 8-play 66-yard touchdown drive after the delay, but the Pioneers tied it with a 6-play 87-yard touchdown drive at the end of the first quarter.
Jackson Berck forced a fumble on the next play, and the Pioneers cashed it in with a
Pablo Pereira 24-yard field goal. The Bobcats fumbled the snap on their next punt to set up the Pioneers in the red zone, and
Jamar Moya's 8-yard touchdown run put MNU up 16-7. Another fumble led to a Pioneer field goal, and MNU went into the locker room leading 19-7.
The second half started with another Pereira field goal, and the defenses held the rest of the way for a 22-7 victory.

After a fumble late in the 1st quarter, MNU's field goal put them up for good.
