OLATHE, Kan. - MNU took the home opener with a 5-1 performance against Bethel on Tuesday. The Pioneers dominated possession throughout, and
Felipe Hideki got the scoring started in the 5th minute. He scored again in the 43rd minutes to make it 2-0, and MNU poured it on in the 2nd half. Goals from
Jesse Calderon, Nicolas Theberge, and
Butoyi Issa made it 5-0. Bethel notched a goal with 5 minutes remaining for the 5-1 final.
"It was good to get the first win under our belt," said Coach Wardlaw. "Every game gives us the chance to gain experience together and make improvements. Our conference is the toughest in the country and we will need all of these pre-conference games to get ready."
