OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers split a double header with Evangel on Tuesday. In
Game 1, the Pioneers got nothing going offensively while Evangel scored 3 early runs. MNU's best chance to score was in the 1st inning but they came up empty and didn't threaten the rest of the way to fall 3-0.

Evangel's run in the 1st was all they needed.
Game 1 Individual Leaders
Emily Robinson (1-2, BB),
Audrey Denges (1-3, 2B), and
Cassidy Berry (1-3, 2B) got MNU's 3 hits.
In Game 2, the Pioneers scored in the bottom of the 2nd on an
Emma Gordon 2-out RBI triple. Evangel tied it in the 5th, but the Pioneers responded with a 4-run 5th.

Emily Butcoff walked to start the inning, and
Kaleigh Bayless singled to load the bases.
Emily Robinson's walk gave MNU the lead and
Audrey Denges' RBI groundout put them up by 2. With 2 outs,
Cassidy Berry's 2-run single broke it open and the Pioneers carried a 5-1 lead into the 7th. Evangel mounted a rally with 2 hits and 2 Pioneer errors, but a flyout stranded the tying run at 2nd and MNU held on to win 5-4.

Cassidy Berry's 2-out 2-run single gave MNU a big cushion.
Game 2 Individual Leaders
Emily Robinson earned the win with a complete game 3-hitter. And
Kaleigh Bayless (2-3, R, BB, SB),
Cassidy Berry (1-2, R, 2 RBI, BB, SB), and
Emma Gordon (2-2, 3B, RBI, BB) led the offense.
