OLATHE, Kan. - MNU walked off Game 1 on Friday and took both ends of a double header on Saturday for a 3-game sweep of #13 CMU. In Game 1 on Friday, Will Morris and Jeremie Gonzalez were the heroes in MNU's 7-4 walk-off victory. MNU got on the board in the 1st inning on a Gonzalez RBI single, but CMU scored 2 in the 3rd to take the lead. A double steal tied the game in the bottom of the 3rd, and another 2-out RBI single from Gonzalez put MNU back in front. The Eagles tied it again in the 4th and the game settled until the 7th. A 2-out RBI double put the Eagles in front, and MNU trailed by 1 with 2 outs in the 9th. Cristian Rivera led off with a walk and advanced on a wild pitch. A failed bunt and a flyout left Rivera at second, but Will Morris drilled a full count pitch into right field for a single to tie the game. Joshuan Sandoval followed with a single, and Jeremie Gonzalez lined the first pitch over the left field fence for a walk-off homer.
