Pioneers Fall at Culver to Close Season

CANTON, Mo. - The Pioneers' season ended with an 11-point loss at Culver-Stockton in the opening round of the conference tournament on Tuesday. The Wildcats started the game with an 8-0 run and led by 9 with 9 minutes left in the first half. Culver extended to a 20-point lead with an 11-0 run, and MNU struggled to stay within shouting distance. In the 2nd half, the Pioneers chipped away and got within 8 points in the final 10 minutes, but the Wildcats kept MNU at arm's length and hit enough free throws to win by 11.
