Jovana Jovovic recorded her second straight career-high with 31 points in MNU's 73-66 victory over Clarke on Saturday. She scored 29 on Wednesday. The Pioneers started hot and won the 1st quarter 25-15. Clarke turned it around in the 2nd quarter and trailed by only 2 at halftime. At the start of the 4th quarter, MNU led by 5, but Clarke scored 7 straight points to take a 2-point lead.
Jayden Oliver buried a 3 to re-take the lead, and Clarke responded with a bucket to take it back. Jovovic hit a jumper with 3 minutes left, and MNU kept the lead for good. Oliver's steal and layup put MNU up by 3, and free throws down the stretch sealed it.
