OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneers couldn't overcome a rough 1st quarter in a 74-64 loss to #8 Central Methodist on Thursday. The Eagles forced 7 turnovers in the opening period while building an 18-2 lead. MNU got on track offensively in the 2nd quarter, but still couldn't stop CMU and went into halftime trailing by 16. The Pioneers whittled the deficit to 5 in the 3rd quarter, but CMU ended the period with a 7-0 run to push it back to 12. An 8-0 run got the Pioneers back in the game with 7 minutes remaining, but the Eagles responded with a 7-0 run to regain a comfortable lead.
