Pioneers Handle Hastings in Hawai'i

HONOLULU, Hawai'i - Freshman Jake Alexander had a breakout game in MNU's 75-62 victory over Hastings in Hawai'i on Thursday. The small forward, in his second start of the season, poured in 23 points as the Pioneers won their first game in the Hoop N Surf Classic. The game started slowly, and the score was 11-10 after 11 minutes of play. The Pioneers closed the first half on a 19-5 run, however, to open up a 13-point lead at the break. MNU maintained a double-digit lead for most of the second half to seal the win.
