Pioneers Use Big 1st Half to Beat Baker

OLATHE, Kan. - MNU scored 3 first-half goals to take down Baker on Tuesday. Savannah Moxley headed home a corner from Elvia Villagomez in the 11th minutes for a 1-0 lead, and 11 minutes later Itziar Rodriguez collected a pass from Moxley and scored on a breakaway for a 2-0 advantage. Baker responded in the 29th minute to get back in the game, but Trinity Jones scored with 22 seconds left in the half to put MNU back up by 2.

Baker put big pressure on in the second half, including a 9-0 advantage in corner kicks, but the defense held firm and MNU won 3-1.

Trinity Jones' goal late in the first half was a back-breaker.
