The Basics
Score: MNU 3 - Baker 1
Record: MNU (17-9, 8-4), BU (10-18, 4-8)
Location: Bell Family Arena - Olathe, Kan.

OLATHE, Kan. - MNU beat Baker 3-1 on Tuesday. MNU controlled the first two sets, winning 25-19 and 25-11. Baker bounced back with a 25-18 Set 3 victory, but the Pioneers dominated the 4th set 25-13 to take the match.

"It's always good to beat Baker," said Coach Karagyaurov. "Our fans showed up today which made the atmosphere in the gym awesome! It was good to get that one under our belts. The girls played well and didn't get rattled when Baker turned up the heat in set 3. We were able to stay focused on what works and lock up the win. We had that scare of Jacque going down with her knee. She seems to be okay; we will know more tomorrow. Mack, our libero, was a force in the match digging 24 balls. Both our outsides, Magan and Jen, had double-doubles with kills and digs tonight. This seasons has had ups and down but we are focused. We have 5 conference games left and are currently sitting in 6th place. It is a battle to stay in the top 8 to make the post-season. But that has been and remains our first goal - make post-season."
