A tight first half finally saw the Pioneers with some breathing room after a 6-0 run gave them a 9-point lead, but the Eagles finished the half strong and trailed by 4 at the break. With 9 minutes remaining, the Pioneers led by 11, but a furious run by the Eagles combined with ice cold shooting from MNU turned the game around. Over the next 7 minutes, the Eagles went on an 18-2 run to take a 7-point lead with a minute left. Free throws extended the lead and CMU won by 11.
