MNU forced a 3-and-out to open the second half, but fumbled near the goal line on the ensuing drive as Peru pounced on it for a touchdown. The Bobcats followed with a drive to the red zone, but
Ryan Huerta picked off a pass at the goal line to prevent a score. In the 4th quarter, MNU lost a fumble and Peru answered with a quick touchdown to take a 24-13 lead. MNU's next drive reached the red zone, but a fumble at the goal line kept the Bobcats up by 11. A
Jamar Moya touchdown late in the 4th brought the Pioneers closer, and a stop gave the ball back to MNU with just under a minute to play. The Peru State defense held, and the Bobcats won by 5.
