Pioneers Survive Culver

OLATHE, Kan. - MNU fought off match point and won a 5-set nail-biter over Culver-Stockton on Saturday. Culver won the first set 25-21, but the Pioneers won the next two 25-11 and 25-22. The Wildcats evened the match with a 25-22 win in Set 4 to force a 5th. MNU led 13-10 before Culver scored 4 straight points to push it to match point. But Marina Sanches' block tied the score and she followed it up with a kill to give a match point opportunity to MNU. McKenna Webster's ace ended the match, and MNU won their 3rd straight match.
