Record: MNU (0-1), JBU (1-0)

SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - The Pioneers lost a heart-breaker at John Brown University in the season-opener on Friday. In a game which saw plenty of action and possession from both sides, neither could find the back of the net through 89 minutes of play. JBU had a chance to take the lead late in the game after drawing a PK, but the shot went wide and the game remained scoreless. With under 1 minute left and overtime looming, an MNU goal kick was possessed at mid field and the Golden Eagles quickly countered to create a perfect scoring chance. A quick cross was finished in a wide open net and JBU grabbed the lead. The Pioneers couldn't answer in the final seconds and fell 1-0.

Turning Point
JBU's go-ahead goal with 20 seconds left was the difference.

Individual Leaders
Camil Koreichi had 4 of MNU's 7 shots. And Andrea Dorella recorded 3 saves.
