Jacob Sylvester made it hold up. Clarke answered with a run in the 4th and 1 more in the 7th, but the Pioneers won 5-2.

In Game 2, MNU rallied for 3 runs in the 4th to take a 4-2 lead. Clarke got a run closer with a homer in the 6th, then loaded the bases with a double, a bunt single, and a walk in the bottom of the 7th. An error brought home the tying run and kept the bases loaded, and Clarke ended it with a single to win 5-4.
