The Pioneers led Valley by 12 at halftime, but an 11-2 run by the Vikings opened the 3rd and tightened the score. MNU led by 4 with 1 minute left, but Valley tied it in the final seconds to go to overtime. In the overtime period, the Pioneers had a 3-point lead before Valley tied it once again with 11 seconds remaining. But
Alisha Washington took the inbounds pass and exploded to the lane to give MNU the lead. Valley's desperation shot missed at the buzzer, and MNU escaped.
