OLATHE, Kan. - The Pioneer took sole possession of 1st place in the Heart with a 72-60 victory over previously-unbeaten William Penn on Saturday. The Statesmen won the first quarter 19-12 and still held a 6-point lead with 5 minutes left in the 2nd. But MNU went on a 14-3 run to take a 5-point lead, and the Pioneers used the 3rd quarter to extend it. The lead reached 14 during the 4th quarter, and MNU maintained a multi-possession lead to grab first place.

MNU opened up a double digit lead in the 3rd quarter.
Individual Leaders
Jovana Jovovic led all scorers with 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Kechelle Figueroa had 13 points, 11 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals.
