Jonathan Green poured in a career-high 38 points in a tough 76-71 victory over Missouri Valley on Tuesday. MNU started the game with a 9-2 run, but Valley dominated the next 6-minute stretch 21-5 to take a 9-point lead. The rest of the half was tight and Valley took a 4-point lead to the locker room.
With 13 minutes left in the game, MNU went on a 7-0 run - highlighted by a Valley technical foul which gave MNU 4 free throws and the ball - to take a 4-point lead. Valley fought back to take a 1-point lead with under 9 minutes left, but
Jonathan Green and
Dante Scroggins combined for 8 straight points to take a multi-possession lead. Valley got within 3 in the final minutes, but the Pioneers made their free throws to win by 5.

MNU's 8-0 run with 8 minutes left gave them the lead for good.
Individual Leaders
Jonathan Green went 11-21 from the field and 15-20 from the line for a career-high 38 points and a career-high 10 rebounds.
Dante Scroggins had 18 points and a career-high 17 rebounds. And
Dakota Quinn just missed a triple double with 8 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 blocks.
