JACKSON, Tenn. - MNU dropped their first game of the year to the #4 team in the nation in a 73-67 loss to Columbia in Tennessee on Saturday. After a 9-2 Cougar run to open the game, MNU quickly tied it and neither team led by more than 4 in the rest of the half. Columbia opened the 3rd quarter with a 9-3 run to open a 9-point lead, and MNU never got out of the hole. Twice in the 4th quarter the Pioneers got the deficit down to 3, but both times Columbia responded and held on for the win.
