BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - MNU erupted in the second half to turn a scoreless match into a 4-0 rout at Baker on Wednesday. The Wildcats out-shot MNU 5-1 in the first half, but the Pioneer defense kept them out of the net and went to the break tied at zero. Early in the second half,
Hannah Benedict scored on a pass from Itziar Rodriguez and the floodgates opened.
Elvia Villagomez followed with a score 9 minutes later, and
Savannah Moxley put the game out of reach on an assist from
Grace Stein in the 65th minute.
Hannah Benedict iced it with her second goal in the 78th minute,
Anesa Curic saved a PK soon after, and the Pioneers won 4-0.
