MARSHALL, Mo. - MNU fought back from a 2-1 deficit to win a 5-set match at Missouri Valley on Tuesday. The Pioneers won the first set 25-21, but Valley dominated the next two sets, winning 25-17 and 25-13 to take control of the match. MNU rebounded for a 25-16 win in Set 4, then never trailed in the 5th to win 15-12.
Turning Point
After losing sets 2 and 3 badly, MNU flipped the script in Set 4 to regain momentum.
Individual Leaders
Jessie Kujawa had 14 kills to lead the offense.
Jennifer Roth and
Maria Ayzaguer had 10 kills and 8 digs apiece. Sannah Mathews recorded 28 digs. And
Kourtney Hansen had 37 assists and 17 digs.
