ATCHISON, Kan. - The Pioneers let a big lead slip but won in overtime at #7 Benedictine on Saturday. After a tight first quarter, MNU dominated the second 25-11 to take a 13-point lead into halftime. Benedictine still trailed by 11 with 6 minutes left in the fourth, but the MNU offense stalled. The Ravens went on an 8-0 run over the next 4 minutes to get within one possession before MNU finally earned a bucket. But Benedictine hit a pair of free throws and a game-tying 3 after a couple of Pioneer turnovers to send the game into overtime. MNU was able to regroup and open the extra period on a 7-0 run to build a cushion. The Ravens hit a couple of threes to keep it from getting away, but MNU scored 15 points in the 5-minute period, more than any other period but the 2nd.

MNU's 7-0 run to start overtime was enough to hold of the Ravens.
