KWU dominated the first set, winning 25-15 before MNU took the 2nd set 25-22. A tight 3rd set was won by the Coyotes 25-23, then MNU crushed Kansas Wesleyan 25-11 to force a 5th set. KWU controlled the 5th set to take a 13-8 lead, but the Pioneers exploded to tie it at 14. The Coyotes won the next point, but
Taylor Cowan won the next 3 to give MNU a 17-15 win and the match.
Turning Point
After a timeout trailing 13-8 in the 5th, MNU won the next 4 straight points to climb back into the match. And when trailing 15-14,
Taylor Cowan recorded a kill and consecutive blocks to win the match.
