ATCHISON, Kan. - MNU lost 3 in a 4-game series at Benedictine this weekend. In Game 1, the Pioneers scored in 5 of 7 innings to win 8-5.

Game 1 Turning Point
After MNU scored 1 in the 1st, Benedictine's first two batters reached in the bottom of the inning but Matt Terrones got out of it unscathed. The Pioneers then scored 3 in the 2nd.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Matt Terrones struck out 7 in 6 innings for the win. Joel Lopez earned his 6th save. And Jason Jones (2-4, R, 2B, 3B, 2 RBI), Jacob Jenkins (3-4, 3 R), Nelson Santiago (2-3, R, 2B, RBI, Sac), Isaac Geisinger (1-2, R, 2B, 2 BB), and Christian Quinones (1-3, 2B, 3 RBI, BB, SB) had big games at the plate.

In Game 2, MNU scored 5 in the 2nd but Benedictine chipped away and took over in the 5th. The Ravens scored 6 in the bottom of the 5th to take a 3-run lead, but Kelvin Perez got MNU within 1 with a 2-run homer in the 6th. Benedictine held on to win 9-8.

Jacob Jenkins (2-4, R, RBI, SB), Christian Quinones (2-3, 2 R, SB), Kelvin Perez (2-3, 2 R, HR, 3 RBI), and Lenzie Foley (2-3, R, 2B, 2 RBI) had 2 hits apiece.

In Game 3, MNU scored 1 in the 1st and 2 in the 3rd to take a 3-1 lead, but Benedictine scored 8 runs on 5 hits in the 3rd to take control of the game. The Ravens won 11-4.

In Game 4, MNU led 3-0 after 2 innings, but another huge inning plagued the Pioneers as Benedictine plated 7 in the bottom of the 4th en route to an 8-4 lead.
