OLATHE, Kan. - MNU is 0-6 in the Heart after losing twice at home to Evangel on Tuesday. In Game 1, Evangel threatened in each of the first 4 innings but the Pioneer defense held the Crusaders to 3 runs. MNU scored 1 in the bottom of the 1st and another in the bottom of the 3rd from two 2-out RBIs from Emily Robinson. MNU took the lead in the bottom of the 4th with a 2-run single from Madison Butcoff, but Evangel scored an unearned run in the top of the 5th to tie it up. MNU answered again with a run in the bottom of the 5th, but the Crusaders put up 2 in the 6th to lead 6-5. Neither team scored again and Evangel took Game 1.

Game 1 Turning Point
A 2-out grounder off the pitcher's glove tied the game in the 6th and set up the winning run.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Madison Butcoff (1-4, 2 RBI) and Emily Robinson (2-2, 2B, 2 RBI) drove in runs for MNU.

In Game 2, neither team scored in the first 4 innings, but Evangel broke through with 1 run in the top of the 5th. MNU took the lead in the bottom of the 5th after loading the bases with no outs and bringing home 2. But Evangel took another late lead with a 5-hit 5-run rally in the 6th. MNU couldn't come back and Evangel won 6-2.

Evangel rallied for 5 runs to take the lead and ice the game in the 6th.
