PLAINVIEW, Texas - The Pioneers won a wild Game 1 then dominated the next 3 in a 4-game sweep at Wayland Baptist this weekend. In Game 1, MNU got on the board first with a huge 2nd inning, highlighted by RBI extra base hits from 
Nelson Santiago, 
Lenzie Foley, and 
Robert Berning to take a 6-0 lead. Santiago homered in the 3rd to make it 7-0, but WBU fought back with 6 runs in the bottom of the inning. Wayland tied it in the 4th, but MNU scored 3 in the 5th to re-take the lead. WBU came back with another big inning to go up 11-10, and MNU trailed heading to the 7th. Back-to-back walks opened the inning, and 
Christian Quinones singled to tie it. 
Jason Jones' 2-run double extended the lead to 13-11, and the Pioneers survived the bottom of the inning to win 13-12.

Game 1 Individual Leaders
Joel Lopez got the win in relief, and 
Christian Quinones (1-4, 2 R, RBI, BB, 2 SB), 
Jason Jones (1-2, 2B, 2 RBI, BB, 2 HBP), 
Nelson Santiago (3-3, 2 R, 2 2B, HR, 5 RBI, BB), and 
Lenzie Foley (2-4, 2 R, 3B, 2 RBI) led the offense.
In Game 2, WBU scored 2 in the 3rd to take the lead, but MNU put up another huge inning in the top of the 4th. With 2 outs and 1 on, 
Kelvin Perez doubled to bring home 1 and 
Isaac Geisinger homered to give MNU a 3-2 lead. A walk and a triple extended the lead, then 
Jason Jones hammered a 2-run shot to cap a 7-run inning. Starting pitcher 
Jordan Dailey cruised through the middle innings and didn't allow another run, and MNU extended the lead with 3 runs in the 5th.
Game 2 Turning Point
Isaac Geisinger's 2-out 2-run homer in the 4th turned a deficit into a lead.
Game 2 Individual Leaders
Jordan Dailey earned his first win with 7 strikeouts in a complete game. And 
Christian Quinones (2-5, R, 3B, 2 RBI), 
Jason Jones (1-4, R, HR, 2 RBI), 
Jacob Jenkins (3-4, 2 R), 
Kelvin Perez (2-3, 2 R, 2B, RBI, BB), and 
Isaac Geisinger (2-4, 2 R, HR, 3 RBI) had big games at the plate.
In Game 3, MNU scored 4 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd, and 4 in the 4th to take a 9-0 lead for starter 
Matt Terrones. The lefty allowed no runs on just 4 hits and 6 Ks as the Pioneers cruised the blowout 9-0 win.

A 4-run 2nd inning was all Terrones needed.
Game 3 Individual Leaders
Terrones earned his 3rd win of the season with a complete game shutout. And 
Logan Tills (2-4, R, 2B, 3 RBI), 
Jason Jones (2-3, R, BB), 
Robert Berning (2-4, 2B, RBI) had 2 hits apiece.
In Game 4, MNU once again jumped out to a huge lead with a 2-run 1st and a 6-run 2nd. 
Jacob Jenkins homered in the 4th to put MNU up 10-1, and the Pioneers won 12-4.

The 6-run 2nd put the game out of reach.

Emilio Gonzales picked up his first win of the season with 6.1 innings. And 
Christian Quinones (1-2, 2 R, 2 BB, SB),
