LAMONI, Iowa - The Pioneers fell behind with a tough second quarter and couldn't recover in a 10-point loss at Graceland on Saturday. An up tempo first quarter finished with Graceland up 23-21. The second quarter was all Yellowjackets as MNU could not find an offensive rhythm and the difference was 26-7 for a 21-point halftime lead. Graceland led by as many as 29 in the 3rd quarter before the Pioneers finally started to crawl back. With 9 minutes remaining in the 4th, MNU went on a 15-0 run to get within shouting distance. Graceland hit a 3 to stop the bleeding, but MNU went on an 8-0 run to get within 7 with 4 minutes left. The Pioneers could not get closer, however, and the Yellowjackets held on for the 10-point win.
Turning Point
The 2nd quarter's 19-point difference put MNU in a hole from which they could not recover.
Individual Leaders
Jayden Oliver shot 10-17 for a career-high 29 points and 2 steals.
Whitney Moia had 9 points, a career-high 20 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. And Tanchelle Hollinsworth had 8 points and 7 assists.

- This marks the first loss to Graceland since December of 2011. Since that season, MNU has a 33-point average margin of victory over the Yellowjackets.
