"I am proud of how the team played today and how they responded well to a challenging week," said Coach Willmer. "The offense did a good job of controlling the ball and Dhamir Pross and the offensive line did a great job rushing the ball. Juvante Martin had two crucial catches and Trey Cooper ran and passed well this game. The defense had a number of guys thrust into major action for the first time and they did a good job stepping up. Josh Guerrero had his first college start, played well and had a key pick."

Late in the 1st quarter, MNU made a 4th-down stop in the red zone and converted a field goal on the ensuing drive to take a lead they would not relinquish.
