BALDWIN CITY, Kan. - MNU led #2 Baker early but the Wildcats used a huge second half to pull away from the Pioneers on Saturday.
After a defensive struggle early in the game, MNU took the lead on a
Trey Cooper to Marquis McQuire touchdown pass. Baker responded with a field goal, then a lightning strike delayed the game. After the teams returned, Baker took advantage of a punt turnover to score a quick touchdown to take the lead. MNU's next possession resulted in a pick-6, and Baker took a 14-7 lead into halftime. The Wildcats scored 3 touchdowns in the 3rd quarter to blow the game open, and held on to win 48-14.
