Cook Sparks Late Comeback

OLATHE, Kan. - MNU overcame an 11-point 4th-quarter deficit as Ashley Cook scored 15 points in the final period in a 63-58 victory over Grand View on Wednesday. The Vikings started fast and took a 9-0 lead after 2 minutes of play, and led 20-12 after the first quarter. The lead got as high as 13 before MNU scored the final 4 points of the half to trail by 9. Grand View won the 3rd quarter as well to take an 11-point lead heading to the 4th, but Ashley Cook caught fire. A 13-2 run, including 9 points from Cook, tied the game. The Vikings answered with the 3, but Cook responded with 2 more to give MNU a 3-point lead in the final minutes. The game was tied at 58 with 1:20 left, but MNU hit 5 free throws down the stretch to pull off the victory.
