Pioneers Win 5th Straight

CANTON, Mo. - Seven Pioneers scored at least 9 points in MNU's 84-70 win at Culver-Stockton on Wednesday. MNU built a double-digit lead in the first half but had to fight off a hard-charging Wildcat squad in the second half. The final 12 minutes were controlled by the Pioneers and MNU earned its 5th straight victory.

Turning Point
A 15-5 run in the first half and a 19-6 run in the second half (sparked by a David Nelson 3-pointer) turned 1-point leads into multi-possession leads for the Pioneers.

Individual Leaders
Jonathan Green led MNU with 16 points on 7-10 shooting and 8 rebounds off the bench. Justin Randall was 7-13 for 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 blocks. Hudson Welty had 11 points and 11 rebounds off the bench. Payne Andrus recorded 10 points, 12 assists, and 6 rebounds. Gabriel Jordan and Dante Scroggins had 10 points apiece. And David Nelson had 9 points and 4 assists.
