The offense put up 12 in a mercy rule victory over Benedictine, but the Pioneers fell in extra innings vs. CMU to close the season. Against Benedictine, the Ravens scored first in the top of the 3rd inning, but MNU answered in the bottom of the inning.

Alexis Pacheco walked to load the bases. After a
Macie Jones sac fly tied the game,
Lydia Reyes blew it open with a 3-run shot to put MNU up 4-1. In the bottom of the fourth,
Shelby Frans drilled a 2-run double to make it 6-1. The Pioneers put up 2 in the fifth and
Maddie Johnson capped a 4-run sixth with a 2-run double to give MNU a 12-3 mercy rule victory.
Taylor Pearcy allowed just 4 hits in the victory. And
Alexis Pacheco (1-3, 2 R, BB, 2 SB),
Macie Jones (1-3, 2 R, RBI, BB, SF),
Lydia Reyes (2-3, 2 R, HR, 4 RBI, BB),
Maddie Johnson (2-4, R, 2B, 2 RBI), and
Shelby Frans (1-3, 2B, 2 RBI) led the offense.
In the nightcap vs. CMU, the Eagles scored a 2-out run in the bottom of the first, but
Megan Deiter held them scoreless for the next 6 innings. In the top of the fifth,
Alexis Pacheco singled, stole second, and moved to third on a passed ball. After a walk,
Jess Peacock's squeeze bunt tied the game at 1. The teams remained tied into the bottom of the eighth, and a bases-loaded wild pitch won the game for CMU.
Megan Deiter struck out 10 in the loss. And
Alexis Pacheco (1-3, R, BB, 2 SB),
Jess Peacock (1-3, RBI, Sac), and
Madison McKay (2-4) led the offense.
MNU closes the season 25-18.
