MNU outscored Sterling 15-1 in a double header sweep on Saturday. In Game 1, MNU scored 1 in the bottom of the first to take the lead. Sterling tied it in the top of the third, but the Pioneers put up 3 in the bottom of the inning with RBIs from 
Korrissa Aguilar, 
Macie Jones, and 
Maddie Johnson. In the bottom of the fifth, 
Madison McKay's 2-out 2-run double put the Pioneers up 6-1 and that was the final score. 
Taylor Pearcy struck out 3 in the 5 innings for the win. 
Clarisa Cortez pitched 2 hitless innings to close it out. And 
Jess Peacock (1-3, 2 R, BB), 
Lydia Reyes (2-3, RBI), 
Maddie Johnson (1-3, R, RBI), and

In Game 2, 
Megan Deiter allowed just 1 hit in 5 innings while the offense built a 9-0 lead. 
Madison McKay and 
Korrissa Aguilar each drove in a pair in the second, and MNU led 4-0. The Pioneers rallied for 4 runs on 4 hits in the fourth to go up by 9, and Deiter closed out the mercy rule game with a perfect top of the fifth.

MNU ends the regular season 24-16 (12-10 Heart). The Pioneers are the 7-seed in the 8-team conference tournament and will face 2-seed Grand View on Thursday at 2:00 in the opening round of the double elimination tourney.
