Weston, Webb, and Wicks Lead Pioneers to a W

Kyleesha Weston recorded the program's first triple double since the 07-08 season in MNU's 94-59 victory over Peru State on Wednesday. The senior guard had 11 points, 12 rebounds, and 12 assists to join Jenna Matson (11/20/2007 | 12 points, 10 rebounds, 10 blocks) for the program's only triple doubles in at least the last 10 years.

The game was never in doubt as MNU used Tristin Wicks down low to jump out to an 11-1 lead. At the end of the first quarter, the Pioneers led 25-10 with Wicks recording 10 points. In the second quarter, Jasmine Webb recorded 8 points while MNU built a 20-point lead. The lead reached 41 in the second half as Weston continued to hand out assists and haul in rebounds, and she scored her 10th point halfway through the fourth quarter to complete the rare feat.

Jasmine Webb led all scorers with 19 points while recording 8 rebounds. Tristin Wicks shot 8-11 for a career-high tying 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 blocks. Kyleesha Weston had 3 steals to go along with her triple double. Megan Balcom had 10 points and 6 assists. Bailey Rinehart added 10 points off the bench. And Whitney Moia had 6 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks in 14 minutes off the bench.
