MNU Beats Baker in 4

The Pioneers are 2-0 in the Heart after a 4-set victory at Baker on Tuesday. MNU won the first set 25-19, then rallied from a late deficit to take control of the match with a 25-23 win in Set 2. Baker returned the favor in Set 3, storming back late to keep the match alive, but the Pioneers controlled Set 5 and won 25-20.

Gisele Silva had 17 kills, 17 digs, and 3 blocks. Taylor Cowan had 14 kills and just 1 error on 23 swings for a .565 attack percentage. She also recorded a match-high 7 blocks. Sofija Berezovska had 9 kills and 12 digs. Rachel Kater had 48 assists and 7 digs. And Michaela Kennedy (15) and Tashley Snyder (13) recorded double digit digs.

MNU is 7-5 (2-0 Heart). The next 4 matches are in a tournament at Hastings College this weekend. MNU will face Concordia, Midland, Montana Western, and Hastings.
