MNU Sweeps Grand View

The Pioneers are 3-0 in The Heart after sweep of #22 Grand View on Tuesday. MNU took a 16-8 lead in Set 1, but the Vikings stormed back with an 8-1 run to get within 1. The end of the set belonged to the Pioneers, however, and MNU won 25-21. Set 2 was tight throughout until Sofija Berezovska went on a 3-point service run to give MNU a cushion at 22-17. The Pioneers finished strong to win 25-18 and take a 2-0 lead. Set 3 was all MNU. The second 16-8 lead of the night didn't get squandered and the Pioneers won 25-19 to complete the sweep.

Sofija Berezovska led all attackers with 12 kills. Gisele Silva had 9 kills and 15 digs. Tashley Snyder added 15 digs. Taylor Cowan had 4 blocks. And Rachel Kater had 31 assists.

MNU is 11-6 (3-0 Heart). The next match is next Tuesday at Avila (6-6, 0-3) at 7:00.
