Pioneers Sweep Coyotes

The Pioneers controlled all 3 sets in a sweep on Kansas Wesleyan on Tuesday. In the first set, MNU took a 7-3 lead and maintained a 4-5 point cushion until pulling away late for a 25-17 victory. In Set 2, the Pioneers held a 3-4 point lead most of the way and won 25-21. MNU completed the sweep with a 25-20 win in Set 3.

Gisele Silva led the offense with 14 kills. Lauma Knupke had 9 kills on .571 hitting while recording 3 blocks. Taylor Cowan added 6 kills and 4 blocks. Tashley Snyder had 11 digs. And Rachel Kater tallied 36 assists.

MNU is 2-0. The next matches are this weekend in Florida vs. Missouri Baptist, Cornerstone, Olivet Nazarene, and host St. Thomas.
