Pioneers Go 2-1 in Magana Classic


MNU fell in 5 sets to #17 Grand View before winning two 4-set matches vs. Texas Wesleyan and College of the Ozarks over the weekend.

Sofija Berezovska led MNU with 44 kills. Becca Powers (86) and Rachel Kater (77) handled the assists, Zoraida Heredia (56) and Tashley Snyder (54) recorded most of the digs, and Taylor Cowan had 14 blocks. Heredia was named to the All-Tournament team as she also contributed 42 kills and 9 assists.

MNU is 10-8 (2-0 HAAC). The next match is at Peru State (12-9, 0-3) on Tuesday at 7:00.
