Box Score The Men's Soccer team was back in action Tuesday afternoon. Coming off a hard-fought overtime victory on Saturday they made quick work of this game against the Ottawa University Braves. Leading 2-0 at halftime, the Pioneers came out strong in the second half and final score was 6-0.

Atanas Karagyaurov got the Pioneers on the board first in the 18th minute. He took advantage of a defensive mistake in the back and tapped the ball into the net unassisted. Just 3 minutes later
Alvaro Beltran took a Karagyaurov pass from a set piece and finished into the open goal. MNU created multiple chances in the first half but couldn't beat Ottawa's goalkeeper who made a series of good saves. Just 90 seconds into the second half,
Jelani Jillo scored from a
Lucas Machado assist. Three minutes later Machado got his goal from an
Eddie Morales assist. In the 54th minute, Beltran completed his brace from another assist by Morales.
Clark Campbell scored his first collegiate goal in the 83rd minute to wrap up the scoring. He was assisted on the play by Cam Wallace.

For the game MNU outshot OU 28-3, with SOG being 15-0. Ottawa's goalkeepers were credited with 9 saves.
Yann Passet and
Juan Pablo Riesco earned the shutout without recording a save. Ottawa falls to 0-1 on the season. MNU is now 2-0. Next up for the Pioneers is a road trip to Des Moines, Iowa and then up to Sioux City, Iowa. The Pioneers will be at home again on September 6
