In all 3 sets, Baker controlled the first several points, forcing the Pioneers to play from behind. But in all 3 sets, MNU ended with a run. MNU trailed 19-22 in the first set before rattling off 6 straight points to take a 1-0 lead in the match. The second set was tight throughout, as neither team took more than a 3-point lead until the Pioneers won the final 5 points to win 25-20. Baker led the third set 24-22 and appeared ready to send the match to the fourth, but a rotation error started a 4-point run for MNU and the match ended in a sweep.
